Following his prompt arrival, Jesse began his thorough investigation of the interior and exterior foundation. During his inspection, Jesse discovered the foundation was suffering settlement and needed to be permanently stabilized. Jesse recommended installing GeoLock Wall Anchors along the struggling wall. Once Logsitics finalized the plans, it was sent to our Foreman, Jesus, and his crew. Next, Jesus and his crew traveled to the home to begin the project. First, they ensured the home was ready for the GeoLock installation. Next, the crew went ahead and installed seven GeoLock Wall Anchors along the wall. Once all the GeoLock Wall Anchors were secure, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was delighted with the excellent work completed by the crew. Micela and Will from St. Paul, MN got in contact with us when they began to notice that their basement wall was beginning to show signs of bowing. They were afraid that if they left the issue unresolved, they could face serious damage to the structural integrity of the home. When they called in, we set them up with our FREE estimate, entitling them to a thorough, no-obligation estimate by a member of our Sales team. Shortly after scheduling, our Design Specialist, Michele, headed out to the property to do a walkthrough. Once he completed his inspection he was able to make his recommendations. He recommended our GeoLock wall anchors to fix the situation. A Saint Paul, MN, homeowner was beginning the process of getting his home ready for resale. Before he could be confident in his listing, he knew that he had a major foundation issue to fix in the basement. Over the years, the wall had begun cracking in several places. The homeowner decided to find a solution, so he decided to claim one of our FREE estimates. A few weeks later, our Design Specialist, Mac C, headed out to the home to see what could be done. 

After Mac completed his inspection, he met with the homeowner to deliver his recommendations and discuss the next steps. Mac began by saying that foundation walls are designed to support loads from above, not from the side. When side pressure on your walls exceeds their ability to withstand the force, they will begin to crack, bow, slide in at the bottom, and/or tilt in at the top. In this case, Mac suspected street creep damage was the culprit. Street creep is a problem that is caused by thermal expansion and contraction of exterior concrete pavement that surrounds a home. As this concrete expands against a driveway with inadequate expansion joints, the driveway is pushed against the garage slab, which in turn pushes against the foundation, causing damage. For this reason, Mac was recommending our GeoLock anchors to fix the issue.
