Home in Baldwin, WI Supported and Protected

Adam from Baldwin, WI was experiencing some problems in his home. He was concerned about the foundation of her home due to water intrusion, so he contacted the Appointment Center here at American Waterworks to claim his FREE estimate. Once the appointment was set, our Design Special Darin attended to Adam's property. He began a thorough home inspection to properly diagnose the house and propose a proper solution that would help solve the issue and prevent other issues from arising.

First, Foreman Arturo and his crew installed our SmartJack system. Our SmartJack system is made to provide support for oversized or sagging beams, restoring stability and straightness.

Our Foreman and the production team then installed three of our SmartJacks along the support beam of the home. Once the SmartJack was set, the team installed the WaterGuard system. This particular system is typically used in basements and is the premier choice for basement waterproofing as it is installed below the floor, but rests atop the foundation, keeping it out of the "mud zone", making it harder to clog. It works to trap water and sends it to an appropriate disposal site, our TripleSafe sump pump, an effective and economical sump solution.

They then proceeded to use CleanSpace to encapsulate the basement to prevent moisture and mold to affect the rest of the foundation. The team finished by cleaning everything up, and Adam was thrilled and impressed with the project from start to finish!

Are you in need of an inspection? Is there any damage to your home or are you experiencing any foundation issues? Contact American Waterworks today for your FREE estimate!

Wall Anchors Installed in Plum City, WI

John L. in Plum City, WI had a severely cracked and bowing basement wall. He was concerned about the structural integrity of his home and wanted to address the problem before it got any worse. He started to do some research online and came across the American Waterworks website. He was happy to learn that American Waterworks has 30 years of experience restoring basement foundations. He called for a FREE estimate, and we sent our Design Specialist, Shane Nephew, to meet with John and evaluate the situation.

Failing Foundation in Wabasha, MN

A homeowner in Wabasha, MN, was doing some landscaping in her yard when he noticed a crack running up her foundation. She was concerned because he didn't know if the crack continued below the foundation. He spoke with neighbors about the problem and was directed to American Waterworks. He signed up for his FREE estimate, and a few weeks later, our Design Specialist, Michel, headed out to the home to inspect the problem. Once he completed his inspection, he explained to the homeowner that her foundation was settling, which American Waterworks could help with. He went on to say that a failing foundation that is left unaddressed won't get better over time. Michel wanted to use our Helical Piers to stabilize and lift the foundation. Michel explained that our helical piers are the premier choice to lift the foundation back to its original position. These piers are mechanically advanced into the soil using small construction equipment or hand equipment. As they are installed to appropriate depths and capacities, they prevent any future settlement issues. The homeowner agreed with the proposal, and the foundation repair project was scheduled to be completed a few weeks later.

Our Foreman, Luis, and his crew installed 3 of our helical piers on the failing side of the home. Now our homeowner can resume her daily life without worrying about her home's foundation!

When Mac arrived, he got right to work assessing the home. When he finished, he met with the homeowner. Mac explained that CarbonArmor straps are a quick, affordable way to stabilize block and poured concrete walls that have cracked and that are showing signs of bowing.  The super strong carbon fiber straps are attached to the wall with epoxy and halt further movement or cracks. The homeowner liked Mac's plan and signed on the spot.

On the day of the installation, our Foreman, Jesus C, led his team through the successful installation of 13 CarbonArmor straps throughout the basement. Now, our customer can put his foundation worries behind him!

Cracked Foundation Wall in Arkansaw, WI

Sam in Arkansaw, WI had three cracked and bowing walls in his basement. He was concerned about the pressure this was putting on his foundation, and he wanted to have his walls repaired before the problem got any worse. After visiting a local home show and talking with one of our Design Specialists, he decided to have us inspect his foundation and provide him with a FREE estimate. Our Specialist recommended that we install wall anchors on two of the walls and PowerBraces on the other. Sam agreed that this was the best solution for him, so he scheduled the installation.

Our production crew installed the wall anchors by drilling small holes through the block foundation into the soil surrounding the home. Then, they dug small holes in the yard that lined up with the anchor rods, and they secured them from the outside and inside of the home with anchor plates. They tightened them as far as they would go to permanently stabilize the wall. Next, they installed the PowerBraces, which are strong steel I-beams that are secured by brackets that are drilled into the floor and the rim joists. These two foundation repair products not only permanently stabilized Sam’s foundation, but they also provide the potential for his walls to straighten back to their original position.
