A DBS Design Specialist was sent out to the property to conduct a free no-obligation estimate for the homeowners. After a thorough inspection, the Design Specialist generated a quote for the homeowners for our Crawl Space Encapsulation services.
A DBS Foreman led the installation of this project with help from a crew. Together they installed dimpled drainage matting in the crawl space to help provide a water barrier that would help assist the flow of water without causing puddles. Then they laid panels of TerraBlock™ insulation over the drainage matting to prevent frost build-up. Finally, they finished the encapsulation by installing a layer of CleanSpace® water vapor barrier.
Now that the crawl space has been properly encapsulated, the homeowner will notice that their floors are much warmer and the musty smell has faded.
Cold Air Seeping into Minneapolis, MN Home Stopped with Spray Foam Insulation
This Minneapolis, MN homeowner was experiencing cold air seeping into the bottom of their home, which pushes the warm air out of the top of the home. The owner needed a permanent fix, so they turned to DBS for a solution.
Design specialist Henrik Makitalo assisted this homeowner with a free no-obligation estimate to help their home. Following the inspection, Henrik suggested the owners insulate the top area of their home in order to stop the cold air from seeping in and keep the warm air from escaping.
