The owner of this home in McGregor, MN had just purchased the property for guests and family to stay at when they come to visit when they noticed that the foundation issues needed to be addressed. The walls in the basement were bowing inward and there was shearing evident at the base of the walls as shown in the before picture. Looking for a solution, the owners reached out to DBS.

Design Specialist James Miller went to the property to conduct a free no-obligation estimate for the homeowner. After a thorough inspection, James recommended our PowerBrace™ Wall Bracing System.

A DBS Foreman led the installation of this project with assistance from a crew. Together they installed 15 PowerBrace™ i-beams along the basement walls. Each PowerBrace™ is affixed to the rim joists of the home with a steel bracket and bolted to the concrete slab to ensure permanent stabilization. The system is backed with a 75-year transferrable warranty against movement.

Now that the home has been stabilized, the homeowners will be able to share the new property with their guests without needing to worry about their safety.
