In Abita Springs, LA, problem moisture and failing insulation were major concerns for this homeowner, as shown in the before photo. The damp environment was spreading trouble to the whole house. Mold and moisture plaguing the crawlspace prompted this homeowner to give us a call. The home is 1900 square feet of crawlspace. He knew his problem would only get worse if he didn't address it immediately. With previous knowledge of our encapsulation system, he knew he was calling the right people. Ransom Ford inspected the crawlspace and found it was something we could easily rectify. 

We sealed off the vents and openings, installed a sump pump in the lowest spot, lined it with our 20 mil liner, and finally placed a dehumidifier inside the crawlspace to regulate the humidity. Now his home is moisture free and it would be impossible for mold to grow on his joists with our system. 

These homeowners were unfortunately a bit late to tackling their crawl space moisture problems and had to have their floors replaced due to the damage. Immediately after, they reached out to us, searching for a way to prepare the underside of their home and prevent this from happening again. When we originally entered this crawl space, we found bit of a mess, most noticeably, a lot of falling insulation. The moist and humid crawl space has soaked the insulation, weighing it down and dragging it downward. All of this wet insulation contributed greatly to the moisture problem and the moisture damage that led these homeowners to needing to replace their floors.
