Patio Repair in Grand Island, NE
This homeowner had a hot tub in the middle of his patio. The concrete under was starting to settle, and he did not want water pooling up next to his home. He was having troubles getting anyone to come out to look at this. He saw Thrasher's ads, and decided to give us a go. He liked that we were local and family owned! System Design Specialist, Brock Scott, came out to meet with him. Brock determined the concrete along the home was settling due to fill soil, and water collection. He also noticed the weight of the hot tub was not helping. Brock proposed we seal up the joint along his home with NexusPro Join Sealant, as well as his expansion joints to prevent the area around them from settling. He also proposed we use PolyLevel foam to lift and level the concrete back to where it belongs. Even though the hot tub could not be moved completely out of the way, we were still able to get this project completed. This homeowner was so happy with the finished product! There is no doubt that he is relaxing in his hot tub, worry free of any more settling or unwanted water collection.
New Concrete Cracking Fix in Saint Paul, NE
These homeowners just had moved into their new condo, and not even a year later their brand new concrete began to crack. They did not understand why this was happening, but wanted it fixed, so they called Thrasher! One of our System Design Specialists, Jeremey Scott, came out to meet with them. At first, the homeowner just wanted to seal up the cracks, but after further inspection, Jeremey found large voids under the slabs of concrete. Jeremey determined that since this was a new build, the soil under the concrete was shifting and settling. There was almost no support under the slabs, and the concrete started to crack. Jeremey proposed we use our 2-part concrete solution consisting of PolyLevel and NexusPro. PolyLevel would fill in the voids, giving the concrete support to lay on. NexusPro would fill in the gas, joints, and cracks. These homeowners were so happy Thrasher could provide a solution that was proactive and would save them a big headache in the future. If they would have ignored the problem, there could have been major settling and cracks in the near future! There is no doubt that they are worry free of their driveway and will be for the foreseeable future!

Linda D. is a homeowner in Salina, KS and has watched the concrete in front of her home settle over time. However, it reached a point where she was worried it might cause damage to her home’s foundation and roof. In addition, the appearance of the uneven and broken concrete, and its potential of being a tripping hazard drove her to have it repaired. Linda was familiar with Thrasher and our ability to fix it right the first time. Her concrete needed a permanent solution, so she gave us a call.
To begin the restoration, System Design Specialist Brent Randolph arrived at the Salina, KS home to perform a thorough inspection of all affected areas. Brent noticed that the walkway to the front entry was sinking, as well as multiple areas on the driveway. The driveway also had multiple cracks from the lack of support underneath. To combat these issues, Linda opted to have us install our 2-Part Concrete Protection System. The teams began by injecting our PolyLevel foam to lift and level the sunken areas. The lightweight foam is waterproof and stabilizes the concrete permanently. Then, NexusPro sealer was applied to all cracks and control joints to prevent any water from infiltrating underneath.
