These homeowners in Portsmouth, New Hampshire recently bought their home in 2019 and had concerns with the radon levels. Shortly after moving into the home, they tested the home for radon. They wanted peace of mind knowing that the air in their home is mitigated from radon. So they decided to call EFS for a free inspection.

A homeowner in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, had lived in their home for the past 30 years and recently became concerned with the levels of radon in their home. The home had two chambers, meaning they had a standard basement and a crawlspace off of the basement. The basement was mostly finished and the crawlspace was covered with crushed stone. The homeowner decided to call EFS for a free radon inspection, and our design specialist recommended installing a radon mitigation system with 2 extraction points. One of the extraction points was installed on the unfinished side of the basement and the other was installed in the crawlspace. The radon fan was installed on the exterior of the home to expel the radon-filled air into the air outside the home where it can dissipate.

This homeowner in Essex, MA tested the radon levels when he moved into the home in 2017, and they were around 4. He retested in 2022, and the levels were up to 22 pCi/l. He chose our Erickson team to install a radon mitigation system for him, a project that took less than a day and effectively lowered the levels below 4.0 pCi/l.
