Persistent dampness is often the first sign that a basement needs immediate attention, and this Philadelphia, PA homeowner recognized the warning early. Ongoing water intrusion had become a growing concern, as prolonged moisture exposure can lead to structural deterioration and mold growth if left unaddressed. Wanting to protect their home and restore confidence in their basement, the homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems for a permanent waterproofing solution.

Following a thorough inspection, our System Design Specialist identified how water was entering the basement and designed a customized plan to control and redirect it effectively. The solution included the installation of our patented WaterGuard Drainage System to manage foundation-level water, a TrenchDrain System to capture surface water in vulnerable areas, and our high-performance SuperSump Premier Sump Pump to reliably discharge water away from the home.

Working together, these systems now provide long-lasting protection and peace of mind against future water seepage!

This basement had a lot of obstacles and a low ceiling. But we can still make it look nice. With size doors, painted ceiling, and insulated thermal flooring, we can transform a basement into a beautiful dry, and useable space.

At this row home property, we installed our SuperSump pump system with a Zoeller M63 cast iron pump. This will include an airtight lid with flood drain, a CleanPump stand and a WaterWatch alarm system to indicate power loss, breaker trip or if water rises above the level intake. The SuperSump is installed at the lowest part of the basement and is surrounded by our WaterGuard sub-flooring drainage system that lies under the CleanSpace Wall vapor barrier. Our CleanSpace Wall vapor barrier catches any wall leakage or moisture coming from the cement foundation, having it flow down to the WaterGuard and into the SuperSump pump.

One section of this customer's home had sagging floors and felt like the area had movement. After further investigation, it was discovered that this particular portion of the home did not have the support it needed to withstand the weight of everyday traffic from above. In this partially finished home in the corner of the basement, water is intruding during heavy rain. In order for us to capture the water coming into the home, we dug out a trench between the wall and the floor to install our WaterGuard sub-floor drain system. Once the drain is installed, we place our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier along the perimeter that's meant to capture any wall leakage coming through, which then flows down to the sub-floor drain. By having these products, your space is safe from water damage and will remain dry.
