A homeowner reached out to us at Quality 1st with concerns about their crawl space. They described issues of a persistent damp and musty smell throughout their home, as well as insulation that had seen better days:  sagging down and no longer effective. Knowing the importance of a clean and dry environment beneath their home, they needed a reliable solution, fast. After their initial call, we promptly arranged for one of our System Design Specialists to inspect the situation. We recommended an installment of our CleanSpace liner to encapsulate the crawl space, effectively sealing out moisture and preventing future growth of mold. Additionally, we suggested the installation of our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to control the humidity levels and keep the area dry and healthy. To further ensure the crawl space remained effectively insulated, we included SilverGlo insulation on the walls, reflecting heat back into the crawl space and improving the home's overall energy efficiency.

At a home in Sea Isle City, service technician Jerry inspected the unit. He found that a simple adjustment to the condensate pump line would keep the unit in top operating shape, moving accumulated moisture out and away while most importantly, keeping the room humidity down.  

A resident in Oak Ridge, New Jersey noticed their basement walls were beginning to crack and bow inwards. They contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems and our System Design Specialist, Laszlo Lenkey, provided an inspection and suggested they use a wall reinforcement system. Our foreman, Wilver Cardoza, installed the CarbonArmor Wall Reinforcement System which is made from a fiber-reinforced polymer. The straps are attached to the wall and secured with heavy-duty steel brackets. The straps will stabilize the wall and begin to pull it back towards its original position.

This homeowner in Oak Ridge, New Jersey noticed their basement was attracting water and moisture during heavy rainfall. To solve this, they contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems for a solution. Our System Design Specialist, Laszlo Lenkey provided a thorough inspection of the home. Laszlo suggested they install a french drain system to prevent water from puddling on the basement floors. Our foreman, Jonathan Niera, began installing the WaterGuard Drain System throughout the basement. WaterGuard is installed below the floor slab and rests on top of the foundation footing to be kept out of the mud zone. This will collect water when it seeps in from the floors and walls and will drain it to the sump pump.

A resident in Somerset, New Jersey noticed their concrete walkway was sinking. This can happen because concrete is poured over recently backfilled soil around the home. Overtime, this loose soil settles and creates a void under the concrete. They called Quality 1st Basement Systems and our System Design Specialist, Dylan McDonald, was able to help them with a solution. He suggested a polymer foam to lift the concrete back to its original position. Our foreman, Victor Leon, installed the PolyLevel System which is a polyurethane foam that is injected underneath the slab. This is done by drilling small, penny-sized holes into the slab and the polymer foam is injected into the voids. This foam has expanding properties that will allow the slab to be lifted and leveled.
