Following a detailed inspection, our team designed a customized waterproofing system to tackle the problem at its source. To protect and brighten the basement walls, we added CleanSpace Wall Panels for moisture control and EverLast Wall Panels for a clean, finished look.

A homeowner in Montville, New Jersey was looking to replace their old flooring to prevent any future water damage. The most common cause of water damage in a basement is caused by water in the surrounding soil of the foundation. During periods of heavy rainfall, the water becomes saturated and creates hydrostatic pressure that pushes water and moisture through the floors.

The homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems and our System Design Specialist, Laura McIntyre, was able to help them with a solution. She suggested they install new flooring that is waterproof. Our foreman, Wilver Cardoza, installed the ThermalDry Elite Plank Flooring into the basement. This flooring is not only waterproof but also mold proof. These planks interlock together and have raised pegs at the bottom to suspend them above the cold and damp concrete floor. If there is a leak or water gets into the basement, the floors can easily be removed, dried out, and reinstalled without having to replace whole new flooring. Now, the basement has a bright and modern appearance!
