This homeowner grew concerned about the integrity of their foundation after noticing cracks in the walls of their basement. Wanting to stop the damage from getting worse, they called in a Design Specialist to gauge the situation and find a solution to their wall support struggles. Based on the cracks scattered throughout and the slightly bowing walls, our Design Specialist recommended having a PowerBrace wall system installed to keep the walls in place and supported. A PowerBrace wall system is super sturdy and designed to take some of the stress off the walls, providing a huge boost to the health of your walls and foundation. 

A homeowner in Catskill, NY had a crack in their foundation that was causing it to tilt inward, which could eventually cause the foundation to fall. The crew installed 6 PowerBraces. These will work to stabilize and straighten out the foundation by slowly tightening each brace using a specific tool. Eventually, the braces can become flush with the wall, ensuring the wall will stay in a straight position. 

PowerBraces are installed when dealing with a bowing or buckling foundation wall. Symptoms of this are sometimes as obvious as being able to see the wall bulging with large horizontal cracks. Other times, the displacement is more subtle, but our design specialists are highly trained and can notice these issues. PowerBraces attach right to the affected wall and keep it from buckling any further, all while bringing it back to its original position over time through scheduled tightenings.
