SilverGlo insulation boards were added to the walls of this crawl space. These graphite-impregnated insulation boards don't hold moisture or support mold growth. Once installed, they provide an unbroken sheet of R-11 insulation and act as a vapor barrier to the crawl space walls.  

Made from a 20mil thick, 7-layer polyethylene composition, our CleanSpace vapor barrier provides the ultra-durable and long-lasting moisture protection you need for your crawl space. Suitable for both walls and floors, we use it to encapsulate the crawl space and isolate it from the earth for the most effective moisture and humidity control.

Lillian reached out to us with concerns about water gathering near her basement and crawl space area. After a thorough inspection of her Greensboro, NC home, our team identified drainage issues around the concrete slab that were allowing water to pool and threaten the foundation. Left unresolved, this type of moisture problem can lead to musty odors, mold, and long-term structural damage.

To fix the issue, we installed a new drainage system complete with a discharge line and dual IceGuard fittings to ensure proper water flow even in cold conditions. After completing the underground work, we restored the concrete surface to leave the area both functional and clean. Now, Lillian’s home is better protected from future water intrusion, and her basement space is safer and more secure.

Short term solutions like thin plastic coverings and fiberglass insulation inside a crawl space always form complications. We tore out these old solutions and installed a lasting vapor barrier to help keep the crawl space air dry.
