In Lock Haven, PA, a troubled foundation caused sagging floorboards and inadequate beam support, raising concerns for stability. We installed the SmartJack® System, which stabilized and lifted the crawl space beams and floor joists to their original elevation. In the first photo, notice the sagging crawl space with a dirt floor in a South Mountain home, a common issue affecting both home stability and safety. We addressed this by installing our advanced SmartJack® System, designed to stabilize and lift floor joists to their original elevation. The solution involves creating a solid base of engineered fill below the steel columns, securing structural integrity and reducing floor bounce. Sinking floors in this cabin home prompted the homeowner to give us a call. Moisture in the crawl space had caused the beams to become weak and as a result, the floors in the home had begun to sag. We supported the beams with SmartJacks! These fully adjustable steel support posts bring floors back up to where they were. We tackled the moisture issues with a CleanSpace Encapsulation System. CleanSpace is our 20mil thick, ultra durable liner that creates a vapor barrier. 

This home is now supported and safe from moisture! 

This home suffered from settlement problems. In consequence, cracks formed both inside and outside the foundation walls, causing the interior basement walls to bow inward and the cracks to widen. This compromised the structural integrity of the house, resulting in the need for a complete foundation repair. To protect the safety of this home, we installed foundation piers to permanently stabilize the foundation by transferring the weight of the structure to competent soil.
