Basement Waterproofing in Lac-Drolet, QC
PROBLEM
Our living in Lac-Drolet, was looking to install an exterior French drain to put an end for the persistent moisture problem. After filling out the form on our website, our specialist Nickolas visited our client for a free inspection. Nickolas presented in details a waterproofing solution, including our WaterGuard interior drainage system and our TripleSafe sump pump system. The drainage system proved to be perfectly effective. Additionally, the installation is quick compared to that of the French drain, preserving the landscape around the house as there will be no excavation.
SOLUTION
After receiving approval from our client, we began the work under the supervision of Jawad. As planned, we started by installing the revolutionary WaterGuard drainage system. The drain is placed on the foundation footing, away from mud and dirt to prevent clogging. The infiltrated water will be directly captured by the drain, thanks to the ⅜-inch protruding lip that channels water from the walls directly into the system.
Next, we installed our excellent TripleSafe sump pump system. This system consists of three pumps: The first reliable and efficient 1/3 HP Zoeller pump, the second 1/2 HP Zoeller pump which operates when the first pump needs assistance, and the third backup pump that activates in case of a power outage.
Then, we installed a drainage matting on part of the floor, as the existing floor slab was thin and at risk of causing a moisture problem. Additionally, we installed the CleanSpace Wall membrane on the walls to prevent water vapor from seeping into the basement.
Finally, we connected our interior drain to a discharge line that will lead the water outside. This discharge line includes our patented IceGuard system, designed to eliminate the risk of flooding if this line freezes during cold periods.

Changing of a sump pump in Stoneham et Tewkesbury, Qc
The problem: This lady from Stoneham and Tewkesbury had an overflow problem since the day that her sump pumps was installed. She often had water emerging from her pump, because it did not work properly when there was a heavy rain or when the snow melted in the spring.
Solution: Our certified specialist suggested to change her sump system, in order to install a more efficient one that would keep the floor dry. The type of pump that was chosen for this project was the TripleSafe pump. The TripleSafe is equipped with three levels of protection, the first level is a pump for normal use which can evacuate up to 8,300 liters of water per hour. Subsequently, if the flow reaches its maximum capacity, the second level will work and pump will be able to evacuate up to 14,750 liters of additional water. And if there was an electrical failure, our system is equipped with a back-up battery which, in a single charge, can evacuate 43,350 liters of water.
From now on, this client can have the peace of mind and when there is an inclement weather or when the period of snowmelt arrives, she will be able to feel safe and enjoy a dry basement.
