Encapsulation of a crawl space and reinforcement of joists in Farnham, Qc

Mrs. St-Amand contacted Systèmes Sous-sol Qc, because her floor had collapsed in a few places. So she felt that her floor was soft and there was a smell of damp and mold upstairs.

The problem was the earthen crawl space. There was lots of humidity and the wooden beams and pillars were rotting due to the humidity.

To fix this problem, our team encapsulated the crawl space with a drainage membrane and a vapor barrier on the earth floor. This is to lock in moisture coming from the ground. We installed beams and our galvanized steel SmartJack pillars to reinforce the structure of the house and prevent the floor from sagging. Finally, we have installed our Sanidry Sedona dehumidifier to control the humidity level along with a SmartSump sump pump system.

Installation of a SuperPump sump pump in Maskinonge, Quebec

This homeowner in Maskinonge was dealing with a problem of water seepage and moisture in his basement. During periods of heavy rain and snowmelt, water tended to accumulate around the sump pit, leaving moisture marks on the concrete slab and increasing the risk of water damage, mold, and material deterioration. Eager to protect his basement for the long term, the client called on our team to implement a reliable and effective drainage solution.

After a thorough inspection, we recommended installing a SuperPump® sump pump, known for its reliability and ability to efficiently remove groundwater before it can accumulate in the basement. We also installed a new discharge line to direct the collected water away from the home’s foundation. This improvement reduces hydrostatic pressure around the foundation, prevents future water infiltration, and maintains a drier, healthier environment in the basement. Thanks to this work, the homeowner now benefits from enhanced protection against moisture issues and a water management system designed to provide long-term peace of mind.

Waterproofing a basement in SAINT-HYACINTHE, Qc

Our client had an infiltration problem in his basement. He contacted our company to provide a definitive solution to his problem.

Our specialist then went to his place to waterproof the basement of our client. He proposed a WaterGuard interior drain system all around the perimeter of the basement. This drain routes infiltrating water to a SuperSump sump pump system. Our evacuation system is equipped with two pumps, one of which is connected to a battery in order to operate even during power cuts that accompany severe weather.

Thanks to these solutions, our client benefits from a dry basement at all times.
