Mildred P. is a homeowner in Lake City, SC. Mildred and her family live in a quiet neighborhood where their kids can play freely and the can enjoy walks in the morning. Not a lot goes on where they live and they like it that way. “The noise and violence in the city drove us to live out in a place like this so we could properly raise our children,” Mildred said. However, things aren’t all fine and dandy. Mildred’s home has sagging floors. She worries as time goes on that thing will only get worse and worse. She decided to get help and stop the problem in its tracks. She called Cantey Foundation Specialists for a free inspection. Manager and Specialist Luke Stemple came out to Mildred’s home and completed the inspection.  Afterward, he explained to her that the solution she was looking for was Cantey’s patented Smart Jack system. Smart Jacks are designed to raise a home’s floors without the settling that piers can experience, ensuring that you get the most out of your home. Team Leader Matt, Team Member Robert, and Team Member David came out to Mildred home and efficiently installed the Smart Jacks. After the work, Mildred was so happy that her home was level again. She couldn’t believe how much better it felt to walk over. Now Mildred and her family can go back to enjoying their home knowing Cantey did the job right.

Sandy B. bought her home in Charleston, SC a few years ago. Her home is over a hundred years old and one of the reasons she wanted to buy it was to give it the love it needed. The previous owner had not taken care of this beautiful home so Sandy set out to do some home improvements to restore this home to its former glory. Recently, a city water pipe burst causing damage to the crawl space she had already repaired with the SmartJack system. The water caused the wood to begin to decay and Sandy worried about what further damage it could cause her home. She had previously had Cantey Foundation Specialists install the SmartJack system to her home and as she already trusted the work they did she decided to call again. System Design Specialist Grayson Forehand came out and did an inspection on Sandy's crawl space. He concluded that one of the major beams would need to be replaced but it would be a simple job to complete. Production Team Leader Matt Garcia, Production Team Member Nick Riddick, and Production Team Member David Herbert arrived at Sandy's home and successfully replaced the beam. Sandy now has peace of mind that the foundation of her beautiful home is safe.

Matt was worried about his wet and moldy crawlspace in his home in Evans, GA. Our Cantey Crew helped Matt's home become a more clean and healthy living environment by installing a SmartSump pump and drain as well as encapsulating the entire crawlspace. This will help keep his crawlspace dry and clean and also prevent mold and critters from living under his home. 

The relative humidity level in the crawl space of Pam's home in Columbia, SC was very high. Wet air takes much more energy to cool, which was impacting her bills and the ability to maintain a cool temperature inside her home. Warm, wet air in a crawl space can also create an environment for mold, fungus, dust mites and critters, so Pam had a CleanSpace installed in her crawl space to protect her home from these allergens.
