Pool Deck Restored in Memphis, TN

Richard H. of Memphis, TN and his family have lived in this home for 30+ years. In 2016 they had a plumbing issue that required replacing. The sewer pipe that runs under the pool deck concrete was replaced. Sometime in 2018, they started noticing the concrete in this area starting to settle and pull away from the pool. They have spent a lot on this pool over the years and want to address the decking issues to prevent any future issues with the pool itself. The pool is surrounded with decorative stone that has also popped loose in several areas.  We used our PolyLevel™ Concrete Injection system to stabilize the pool deck.  We also applied NexusPro™ Joint Sealant to seal the joints and cracks, preventing future damage.

Proactive Concrete Repair in Cordova, TN Stops Erosion in Its Tracks

When Elliott H., a dump truck business owner from Cordova, TN, noticed unusual hollowness beneath his driveway and walkway, he trusted his instincts—and his connection to Redeemers Group through his brother, Keith, a former employee. While replacing a gutter downspout, Elliott discovered significant voids under the concrete and signs of sand washout at the base of his driveway. With minimal visible cracking, the real concern was what lay beneath: shifting soil and water flow threatening the long-term stability of the concrete slabs.

Upon inspection, our team confirmed that the entire affected area was isolated to one side of the driveway, stretching all the way to the walkway. It was clear that water had created a persistent underground path, gradually eroding the sand base and forming hollow pockets under the surface. This type of hidden damage can lead to dangerous slab settling if not addressed quickly—fortunately, Elliott was ahead of the curve by taking action before any major cracking or collapse occurred.

To stabilize the area and prevent future erosion, we used PolyLevel™ to lift and level the concrete, filling the voids beneath with precision. Then, we sealed all control joints and potential water entry points using NexusPro™, a high-performance joint sealant designed to withstand extreme weather and wear. The result: a safe, stable, and watertight surface that’s built to last. If you’re noticing uneven concrete or suspicious hollow spots, don’t wait—contact Redeemers Group today for a free inspection and get ahead of the problem before it becomes a costly repair.
