A homeowner in New Franken, WI was dealing with a damp, exposed crawl space that allowed ground moisture and outside air to affect conditions beneath the home. Without an effective vapor barrier, moisture from the soil could continually enter the crawl space, contributing to elevated humidity, musty conditions, and potential moisture concerns for the wooden structure above. Sure-Dry completed the crawl space encapsulation using the CleanSpace® Vapor Barrier System. The durable liner was installed across the crawl space floor and extended up the foundation walls to isolate the home from ground moisture and create a cleaner, more controlled environment. The team also installed RimTight™ Rim Joist Insulation along the rim joist to air seal and insulate this vulnerable area of the home. By combining CleanSpace encapsulation with RimTight, Sure-Dry addressed both ground moisture and air leakage, giving the homeowner a cleaner, drier, and better-protected crawl space.
