Once the slabs were returned to their proper position, NexusPro® Concrete Joint Sealant was applied to the joints and gaps to help prevent water intrusion beneath the concrete. Unlike traditional mudjacking (also known as slab jacking), PolyLevel uses a lightweight, high-density foam that won't add significant weight to the soil below, cures quickly, and provides long-lasting stabilization. The repaired concrete now offers a safer walking surface, improved appearance, and greater protection against future settlement and freeze-thaw damage.

Before

This Antigo, WI homeowner had a decorative stamped concrete step at the entrance to their home that had started sinking and pulling away from the door frame. PolyLevel polyurethane foam is injected through small holes in the concrete and expands beneath the slab, filling voids and providing the controlled lifting force needed to raise settled concrete. This was particularly beneficial for a decorative stamped step because the existing concrete could be preserved rather than removed and replaced.

Compared with traditional mudjacking, PolyLevel requires smaller injection holes, uses lightweight polyurethane that adds less weight to the underlying soil, and cures quickly.

The repair preserved the home's red stamped concrete while correcting the settlement and improving the transition at the doorway.
