Before: A homeowner in Plymouth, WI had started noticing more and more uneven spots throughout the driveway and front walkway leading to the house. The homeowner wanted to get the concrete leveled back out before the uneven slabs became an even bigger safety issue or required full replacement.

After: Sure-Dry used PolyLevel High-Density Concrete Lifting Foam to lift and stabilize the sunken driveway and front walkway slabs. By injecting the foam beneath the concrete, the crew was able to fill the voids underneath and carefully raise the affected sections back closer to level without tearing out the existing concrete. Compared to traditional mudjacking methods, PolyLevel High-Density Concrete Lifting Foam is lightweight, cures quickly, and helps avoid adding extra weight to already shifting soils beneath the slabs.
Once the lifting work was finished, the joints and cracks were sealed using NexusPro Concrete Joint Sealant to help keep water from getting back underneath the concrete. By the end of the project, the driveway had smoother transitions, the walkway to the front door was much safer to use, and the entire front of the property looked cleaner and more level overall.

Before

A homeowner in Plymouth, WI was dealing with settlement in both their concrete driveway and the walkway leading to the front entrance. The walkway had sunk enough near the entrance that the height of the step had become greater than intended, creating an awkward transition and a potential trip hazard when entering or leaving the home.

PolyLevel filled underlying voids, restored support and provided controlled lifting to improve the elevation of the settled concrete.

Special attention was given to the walkway near the front entrance. Raising the settled slab reduced the excessive step height and created a safer, more natural transition into the home without requiring the existing walkway to be torn out and replaced.

Compared with traditional mudjacking, PolyLevel requires smaller injection holes, adds significantly less weight to already-compromised soils and cures quickly with minimal disruption.

Once the concrete was stabilized and lifted, NexusPro® was applied to the appropriate joints and cracks to help prevent water from reaching the supporting soils and contributing to future erosion and settlement.

With the driveway stabilized and the front walkway returned to a more appropriate elevation, this Plymouth homeowner now has safer, smoother transitions and concrete that's better protected against Wisconsin's changing weather conditions.

With PolyLevel supporting the driveway and walkway and NexusPro protecting vulnerable areas of the driveway, this Plymouth homeowner now has more even, stabilized concrete that's better prepared for Wisconsin's changing weather conditions.

After:

We carefully lifted the sunken sidewalk back into position using PolyLevel, a lightweight expanding foam that fills voids beneath the slab and stabilizes the soil underneath. Once everything was level again, we sealed the joints and cracks with NexusPro to help prevent future water intrusion and settlement.

Now the sidewalk is:

✔️ Safe and easy to walk on
✔️ Protected from future washout and settling

The homeowner was able to restore the appearance and safety of their front entryway without the mess, cost, or downtime of replacing the concrete.
