Nancy L. of Brunswick GA managed property for Horst R. of Brunswick, GA. During a routine property inspection, Nancy discovered a leak the basement. She called Lowcountry Foundation Repair to help identify the source and stop the water from intruding the basement.

Lowcountry Foundation Repair installed WaterGuard around the perimeter of the basement to collect the water at the source. A SuperSump was installed to pump the water away from the foundation of the home, and keep it out of the basement. The job took three days to complete, afterwards the basement was dry and continued to stay that way.  

This home in Brunswick, GA was having some issues with water from the yard flowing through the crawl space, flooding the area, causing dirt to wash out, and leading to settlement of the floor in a few areas. Our team installed a waterproofing system to remove the water from the space, then installed SmartJacks to support the floor where settlement occurred. Our inspector suggested that she encapsulate her crawl space with our CleanSpace to prevent further moisture and weakening of her floor joists. CleanSpace is a seven-layer reinforced polyethylene that isolates the home from the earth and reduces humidity levels. He also suggested that she lift the settling foundation with SmartJacks, galvanized steel column support that lifts sagging floor joists. 

After four days of installation, the crawl space was completely encapsulated and the sinking floors were no longer a frustration for the homeowner, she was more than pleased with the outcome!
