Excessive moisture in the crawl space caused the insulation to become wet and fall from the subfloor. Installing the CleanSpace Encapsulation System reduced humidity in the crawl space, creating a moisture-controlled environment, eliminating the need for subfloor insulation.

This Savannah, GA homeowner contacted  Lowcountry Foundation Repair when she became concerned about the moisture in her crawl space. She already had a vapor barrier in the crawl space but noticed it was not helping with the moisture problem and needed to be replaced. She scheduled an appointment with one of our inspectors. 

Our inspector, Jason Ussery, suggested that she encapsulate the crawl space with CleanSpace, a seven-layer reinforced polyethylene that isolates the home from the earth and reduces humidity levels. This new vapor barrier would keep her crawl space dry and clean and wouldn't have to worry about moisture ruining her floor joists and causing saggy floors! 

After three days of installation, the project was complete and the homeowner was absolutely thrilled with the results!
