We transformed this damp and dirty crawl space with our CleanSpace encapsulation system. Made from a 20mil thick, 7-layer polyethylene composition, our CleanSpace provides the long-lasting durability that you need in a vapor barrier. This homeowner called with concerns about the crawl space sealant deteriorating. They didn't think anything had been done since it was originally built in 1983 and when they ran the sprinkler system and saturated the ground, the water would bubble up in the crawlspace causing the insulation to fall apart and the 1st floor of the home to be consistently cooler than the rest of the home.

Our solution is to encapsulate and reinsulate using polystrene foam! Separating the earth from your home is important for many reasons but water prevention is a big one. Negative effects of a wet or damp crawl space can include:
