This Hecker, Illinois basement's concrete-block walls were cracking quite badly and beginning to slightly bow inward. The homeowner was very concerned that the damage would get worse if allowed to continue unaddressed, and she was worried about a total wall collapse. She wanted the problem taken care of, and she gave Woods Basement Systems.

In order to stabilize and support the walls, foreman Jeremy and his team installed several GeoLock wall supports. These work by attaching a heavy anchor buried deep in the firm soil far away from the foundation to a steel plate affixed to the interior surface of the basement wall, effectively pulling the wall outward and preventing further cracking. The homeowner can rest easy now that her walls are totally supported!

Cracks in the foundation walls of Donald K.’s Fairview Heights, IL home had him worried. The cracks spanned the wall and he was concerned that if he left the walls, the problem would only get worse so he called Woods Basement Systems. Woods recommended Geo-Lock Wall Anchors.

Woods installed the Geo-Lock Wall Anchors along the cracked walls. The external pressure from unstable soil conditions causes damage like cracking to walls. Geo-Lock Wall Anchors counteract that pressure by connecting wall plates on the inside of the walls to earth anchors embedded is stable soil conditions in the yard using steel anchor rods. Geo-Lock Wall Anchors will permanently stabilize the foundation walls and prevent future movement or damage.

Foreman Jose L installed a Push Pier in Gerald’s basement. The Push Pier will be driven into a stable level of soil. The device will support the sinking portion and attempt to raise the level back towards its original position overtime.

Foreman Jeremy R installed a Geo-Lock Wall Anchor, shown above, in Donald’s basement. The Wall Anchor has two ends, one will be anchored to a level of stable soil away from the house, while the other is attached to the basement walls. The device can be tightened and over time will straighten the walls.

Fairview Heights, IL homeowner Laura noticed sagging floors rooms above her crawl space. She gave Woods Basement Systems a call. System Design Specialist Luke B. developed a plan to stop the sagging floors and prevent future ones. 

Foreman Juan H. and his crew installed 3' SmartJacks throughout her crawl space to replace the brick supports that were there. The SmartJack is made of steel components and comes in a variety of sizes to best fit the area they are needed. SmartJacks can hold up to 60,000 pounds. Once all SmartJacks are in place, they are adjusted to raise the floor back to its original position. 

Laura can walk with ease now knowing her floor will support her.
