This crawl space in Lexington, KY, had a very serious moisture problem. The first step we took to get the moisture under control was waterproofing the crawl space. We waterproofed by installing perforated drainage pipes underneath the floor around the perimeter of the crawl space. We then hooked these pipes up to a sump pump in the corner. After waterproofing, we then sealed the space with our CleanSpace vapor barrier, spray foam, and vent covers. Lastly, we installed our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to keep the air in the newly transformed space dry and clean as possible. The homeowner was very pleased with the outcome, specifically the boost in their homes value.

To help this homeowner save money on energy bills, breathe cleaner air, and preserve their foundation, we encapsulated their crawl space with our CleanSpace vapor barrier. By sealing the space off from moisture and installing a dehumidifier, (not pictured) we were able to help transform this Lexington, KY, crawl space. This drenched crawl space looked like a rainforest before we came and encapsulated it. We first waterproofed the crawl space, then we installed a vapor barrier, then we sealed the crawl space vents, then we set up a dehumidification system. These four steps will ensure a dry crawl space for a long time. 

This crawl space in Cynthiana, KY, was wet, humid, and musty before we transformed it with an encapsulation system. We started by ripping out all the fiberglass insulation in the ceiling and hauling it away to our truck. Next, we installed our SilverGlo insulation around the walls of the crawl space to keep the space warm during the colder times of the year. Lastly, we sealed the entire space from the ground by wrapping our 20 mil CleanSpace vapor barrier across the floor, around the columns, and up the walls of the space. Unseen in the photos, we also installed our dehumidifier to keep the trapped air in the space dry as well.
