This Hampton, NH home was purchased two years ago by the current homeowner and they had a few issues that needed to be addressed in the crawlspace so TC Hafford Basement Systems got the call. System Design Specialist Peter Folsom met with the homeowner and put together a plan on how to lift the sagging floor and protect the crawlspace from moisture.

Barrington, NH homeowners called us after living in their home for about a year. They were very concerned about their uneven floors and if they had enough support for the home. Homeowners from Milton Mills, NH reached out to TC Hafford Basement Systems for a free estimate to address their basement concerns. They felt their foundation and lally columns were starting to fail and wanted to restabilize everything, as well as waterproof the area to address the moisture in their basement and separate crawlspace. We came up with a plan to address each area's needs given the conditions in each space.

For their crawlspace we first installed CleanSpace with Drainage Matting to encapsulate the area. Drainage Matting is a durable barrier with dimples to help channel water and elevate the CleanSpace, keeping it clean. CleanSpace is a durable, inorganic vapor barrier that gets attached to the walls and seals up the crawl space, keeping moisture out. SprayFoam was installed on the rim joists and walls to insulate the area, keeping cold air out during the winter, making the space more comfortable, and saving the homeowner money on their energy bill. Finishing out the full waterproofing system of the crawlspace was the installation of a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier which allows the basement to be kept at a safe humidity level all of the time.

For the basement area we needed to address the foundation issues with StableLock Wall System. StableLock uses modern concrete forming and shoring techniques to fill the voids of the existing wall and stabilizing it to leave a smooth wall. Traditionally, a failing foundation would be repaired but lifting the home and a new foundation being poured. The homeowner would have to move out for a period of time and the costs can be astronomical. With StableLock, the homeowner never has to leave the home and they can save money all while getting the benefit of a new foundation wall. Now that StableLock has been installed, the homeowner and their family can live in their home without being concerned that their safety is at risk.
