The second photo is a shot of our UltraSump and SuperSump Plus. The UltraSump is the black box in the photo. It is a battery backup, making the pump work even during power outages. The drying concrete around the perimeter of the room is where WaterGuard sub-floor drainage was installed to guide water to the pump.

That's where the IceGuard discharge line system comes in. IceGuard is installed on the outside of the home to prevent water from seeping back into the basement in the event of a clogged or frozen discharge line. IceGuard provides an escape route. Water escapes from the IceGuard fitting only when the discharge line becomes clogged. Otherwise, water flows past the slotted openings into the drain pipe. Although it's a small product, it makes a world of difference when it comes to keeping your basement completely waterproof.
