We sent an inspector out and they got a good look at the current sump and wrote up a proposal for a new and improved system, including the UltraSump battery backup pump. This pump is combined with another pump and goes in the liner if the power goes out or the pump can’t keep up with the water then the backup pump will kick on and help combat the water intake. One of the products used was Waterguard, a drainage system that collects water while under the floor’s surface and is connected to the sump pump. By having the system under the floor, it can catch water from the seam and also is almost invisible to the homeowner, a definite plus to this system.
