Every time ground water rose, water leaked into this basement. The result was mold and efflorescence on the walls. There was also damage to the outside of the exposed block walls from freezing.

We needed to find a way to get the basement dry, keep it that way, and stop the mold problem from recurring.

We installed a new SuperSump pump system as well as the WaterGuard perimeter drain to remove the water and keep the basement dry. Then the walls were covered with our CleanSpace wall vapor barrier system to prevent naturally occurring wall water vapor from entering the basement.

Now the basement will be protected from both rising groundwater and ambient moisture from the concrete walls, eliminating both mold and flooding.

The crawl space under the addition of this house was having a serious pest problem. Mice were a common occurrence and had started chewing through wires. Open crawl spaces commonly attract a wide range of bugs and critters. The moisture and humidity make them perfect for catching and hanging out with other creatures in the crawl space hotel the owners were involuntarily running. To solve this problem, the crew installed an ultimate energy saver combination. With SilverGlo Wall insulation and a CleanSpace Vapor barrier, the humidity and moisture in this crawl space will be a thing of the past. The walls and liner are durable and built to keep things out. When we received a call from some of our past customers in Grand Haven, MI with a request for basement window replacements, we initially thought they wanted a few egress windows installed. Many people prefer the egress because of the amount of light it lets in compared to traditional basement windows. But that wasn't the case in this situation. These homeowners wanted to install glass block windows, with the hope that they would stand up to the elements better than the traditional pane windows seen in the before photo.

The after photo shows the glass block windows after the installation and the drying cement that will create a seal strong enough to give this basement the Ayers waterproofing guarantee. Not pictured in the after photo is one window attached vent that will allow the basement plumbing lines to be drained during the winter without fear of flooding. 

Dan and Jan wanted an Egress window installed in the basement of their condominium.
