FlexiSpan Seals Cracked Concrete in the Basement of a Grand Rapids, MI Home

Pete was sick of worrying about the crack in his concrete wall that was in his basement. He called Ayers for solutions and we had a crew come to his home for an inspection where it was determined he needed FlexiSpan. This will seal up this small crack in the wall and is a great option if you don't want to pay for a full wall remodel. The crew starts with sealing the crack with a flexible sealant and then a drainage layer is added in case water did end up permeating the membrane, it would flow down the original wall out of sight. The water would then enter the drainage system located below the FlexiSpan and this is covered with concrete.

Pete was grateful to get this wall crack repaired quickly and efficiently!

A Safer, Brighter Basement for Grand Rapids, MI Homeowners

A homeowner in Grand Rapids, MI, wanted to enhance their basement’s functionality and safety. We transformed the space by installing an egress window, adding natural light, and creating a code-compliant emergency exit. Not only does the window make the basement feel brighter and more inviting, but it also provides peace of mind, knowing the home is safer for family and guests. This upgrade turns the basement into a livable, multi-purpose area, perfect for future projects or everyday use.

BrightWall in Grand Rapids, MI

After the installation of WaterGuard and PowerBraces in this Grand Rapids, MI basement, BrightWall was the final touch. BrightWall panels are a good solution for homes that have stains or dark, dirty walls. These panels brighten up the area and work to keep out mold, mildew, and water. Many homeowners choose these panels because of their quick installation time and inorganic, waterproof makeup.

Note: no scooter was harmed in this installation process.

Creating a Barrier for a Grand Rapids, MI Basement

Dan does not have water issues in his home but his basement walls were flaking due to effervescence. He wants to finish the space but was unsure how to go about it so we installed Brightwall Basement Wall Panels. These wall panels are plastic sheets that are attached to the walls with drilled-in plastic fasteners. The bright, white color of the wall paneling maximizes the light in the basement which creates a clean and fresh look. They are also waterproof and create a vapor barrier to block out water vapor and humidity to protect from mold and rotting.
