Adding an Egress into a Partially Finished Nashville MI Basement
Doug has a partially finished basement and wants to add an egress window to the part that is not finished. Egress windows provide a safe exit in case of emergencies and allow extra natural light into the space!
BrightWall Panels Clean Up a Grand Ledge, MI Basement
The before photo of this basement shows how the leaking water caused water stains and damage to the walls. Water would leak in, flow down the wall, and puddle on the floor. Luckily, the basement was still unfinished, so the leaking water didn’t cause any damage to the carpet. Even better, the BrightWall panel solution in the after photo goes along great with unfinished basements. The panels are made of rigid plastic and create a moisture barrier for the basement, meaning the water damage that occurred to the concrete walls won’t occur again. As water leaks down the walls, it will stay behind the panels - unseen by anyone in the basement - and flow to a perimeter drainage system at the foot of the wall. You can see in the after photo where fresh concrete was poured to cover the drainage system. This basement will be fully protected and looking great for years to come.
Grand Ledge Basement Dry With TripleSafe
This family in Grand Ledge gave us a call when they began to experience wetness in their basement. After a professional inspection we decided the best way to ensure their basement would no longer suffer from water problems would be to install our patented TripleSafe sump pump. The TripleSafe system provides three levels of protection for your basement. For normal functioning, the TripleSafe has a powerful ⅓ horsepower sump pump. The ½ hp secondary pump can discharge as much as 3,900 additional gallons of water per hour at an 8-foot head. In the case of a tripped circuit, power outage, or sump failure, your TripleSafe's UltraSump Battery Backup System will kick in. Peace of mind, at last!
Get Rid of Those Annoying Discharge Lines in Grand Ledge
Discharge lines from your sump pump are inevitable, you have to have them to get water out of your basement. BUT...what if we told you we can bury them. We know how big of a pain they are to mow around or having to worry about people tripping over them and they aren't the most appealing landscape. Once the system is installed and we have all these discharge lines running through the yard to make sure the water is getting far enough away from your house we will bury them so you can't see them. This probably makes you wonder how the water is going to exit then, but at the end of the discharge line we will put on a LawnScape outlet. This will still drain the water and it's almost impossible to see in your yard.
Waterproofing a Basement in Grand Ledge, MI
This Grand Ledge home had a large amount of water coming into the basement where the wall meets the floor. The father has asthma but with all the moisture in the home, the parents are worried the children will get asthma too. We had just the products to keep their home dry and free of water. First we installed the WaterGuard system which consists of a French drain. The drain is installed under the floor and collects water that seeps into the home. The water is then sent to the sump pump to be discharged out of the house. We installed the TripleSafe sump pump which provides three levels of protection for the home in case of a pump not working or a power outage and peace of mind for the family. Lastly, we installed the SaniDry XP. The SaniDry is a dehumidifier that keeps dry air circulating throughout the space to dry it out.
