Amy was encountering many different issues in her basement, especially bowing walls. Therefore, she called our team to help her turn her basement into a liveable and safe space. In order to stabilize the walls our team installed CarbonArmor, a wall reinforcing system. CarbonArmor fixes damaged or bowing walls which are both very serious problems and can cause even more serious problems if they aren't fixed properly. CarbonArmor prevents the inward movement of your walls and reduces their cracks. In addition, this system can easily be concealed in order to give your basement a finished, sleek look, making it perfect for Amy.

Zachary’s Muskegon home began to show signs of a foundation issue a few years ago. Now, the floor joists were sagging so bad that the rest of the house, including the roof, was starting to sag, crack, and bow. Zachary called Ayers for an inspection. Our crew determined that he would need SmartJacks in the crawl space to stabilize the foundation. 

SmartJacks are steel supports that balance the foundation of the crawlspace, lifting it to its original position. They can be adjusted so the home will never shift out of place and are anchored into the ground with poured concrete. 

Our crew completed the project quickly and Zachary was more than happy with the work provided by Ayers. He was so relieved to finally get this project taken care of. 

Margaret noticed her dining room floor was slanting much more than before. She knew this was an issue, so she began researching contractors for the job. When she called Ayers, we sent our professionals to her house to recommend a solution. They decided to install SmartJacks, floor jacks built to last and utilize a permanent base to reduce load-bearing stress. SmartJacks are also zinc-plated and hot-dipped in galvanized steel to ensure durability. Margaret loves her new stable dining room floor!

One of Ed’s basement walls was bowing about 3/4 of an inch into the basement. So he called our team and we installed PowerBrace. PowerBrace is a foundation repair system created to secure basement walls in place. Often outside pressures can cause your basement walls to crack or tilt, this foundation repair system counteracts these pressures by keeping your basement walls in place. Over time, the system can be tightened to not only secure the walls in place, but to also straighten them.

Mr. Crawford has tenents in his newly owned property. Knowing that renters are maying for quality, he needed to find a solution for his drifting chimney. After contacting Ayers our foreman Bruce was able to find the source of the drift, settling earth. The ground beneath a foundation can shift, no matter how sturdy the home.

Bruce and his team installed a noninvasive HelicalPier system at the base of the chimney to correct the drifting and prevent further settling.

HelicalPiers are steel stakes that are driven deep into the ground at the base of the structure. The rods are driven past the weak dirt and into solid ground. The tops of the piers have reinforced concrete blocks that the home rests on. The piers are positioned to correct the drifting and are a permanent solution to Mr. Crawford's issue.
