Preserving a Family Farmhouse for Generations in Manton, MI
Erine and Michael of Manton, MI are investing in their beloved family farmhouse to ensure it's safe and lasting for future generations. Ayers Basement Systems installed a Sanidry™ dehumidifier and an egress window as the first phase of a two-step project, with crawl space encapsulation and floor stabilization to follow.
SmartJack Saves Crumbling Crawl Space in Northport, MI
The homeowner called us because her crawl space was crumbling, creating a gap between the foundation and the house that was allowing critters of all types to get in.
When a local contractor had done work on one section of the house, he'd put block pilings in the crawl space as a temporary fix, but she soon learned that it was very temporary and not really a fix.
Luckily, our SmartJack system is a fix - a permanent one - so the crawl space is reinforced and critter free.
Northport MI Crawl Space Encapsulation
Joe wanted his Northport rental property crawl space to be encapsulated. This would keep out water, pests, and some of the cold weather. We first laid down the Drainage Matting to direct any water to the sump pump. We then installed the CleanSpace liner as a vapor barrier. This barrier keeps out water vapor, humidity, and pests that try to enter the space.
Crawl Space Renovation in Northport
The Ayers team fixed this damp and dirty crawl space using drainage matting, our CleanSpace insulation to keep it warm, and special materials to prevent moisture and mold. They also strengthened the structure to ensure everything stayed in place with a few SmartJacks.
Egress Window Install Stanton, MI
Our customer was looking to finish their basement and needed an egress window. The home was made our poured concrete walls and built in the 1980’s. Egress windows are a requirement when finishing your basement or using it as a bedroom for safety precautions. In case of an emergency, you want to make sure your family is safe and that just isn’t possible with submarine windows. You also want to make sure your windows are nice and sealed so no water can get through them and into your basement.
