Waterproofing Saves Fenwick, MI, Homeowner from Leaky Basement
John realized his sump pump was not effectively doing its job. Water from outside leaked into his basement and began to pool, so he called Ayers to learn about our waterproofing solutions. After sending a team of experts to examine the property and determine the best solution, our team recommended our TripleSafe sump pump system and SaniDry XP dehumidifier. Installing TripleSafe will proactively defend against pump failure with a three-in-one pump system, containing a battery-powered pump for power outages. To ensure the basement remains dry, we installed a SaniDry XP dehumidifier designed to produce fresh, dry air and reduce potential mold growth. It is also ten times stronger than an average dehumidifier. This solution requires less maintenance and does not need to be emptied. John is ecstatic with his clean, dry basement!
Crawl Space Repair in Evart MI
Mark had us come out to his home and install a couple things for his crawl space a few years ago but was not ready to encapsulate it yet. This year he was ready to seal the crawl space off and keep the moisture out. His home is older and he just wants to make improvements to protect it. We laid down Drainage Matting which has raised dimples in it. The dimples create a channel for water to flow through if any water gets in and directs it to the sump pump. We also installed CleanSpace which is a thick, durable liner similar to a pool liner. The liner is a vapor barrier that keeps out humidity, pests, and water vapor to keep the space dry. It also keeps the home safe from mold and rot!
Keeping Rodents and Cold Air Out of this Sunfield MI Crawl Space
Nancy called us to see what her options were for her crawl space. Her home is a doublewide that is on piers and has a faux block foundation. The space is open so they have been getting rodents in as well as all the cold from the winter months. During the winter months, the home and floors get very cold since the air and snow are getting into the crawl space. We insulated the area with spray foam and SilverGlo Crawl Space Insulation and sealed the area off with the EverLast Crawl Space Door. This will keep all the rodents out and the warmth in!
Waterproofing Products Save the Day for Sunfield, MI Homeowner Dealing with Leaks During Heavy Rains
Jane was stressed over the water leaking into her home during heavy rainfalls and she knew she had to put an end to it. She gave Ayers a call when she was on the hunt for solutions and we sent a crew out for a free inspection. After taking a look, our System Design Specialists let Jane know it would be best to have our WaterGuard System, TripleSafe Sump Pump System, and our IceGuard System installed.
First we installed the WaterGuard System which will collect water and dirt, keeping it away from your foundation. This sub-floor drainage system is installed around the perimeter of the basement. Concrete is poured over it to conceal the system. Then with TripleSafe, this is a three pump system that fits in one durable liner and will also help in getting the water out of your basement. The first pump will do most of the work and the second is there for backup. The last pump will turn on if there is a power outage. Finally, we added IceGuard to the exterior drainage lines to prevent any clogging or freezing during cold, harsh weather. The slotted openings in it will eject water in these situations.
After these waterproofing installations, Jane is no longer stressing about water intruding into her home!
PowerBrace Strengthens Olivet, MI Basement Wall
Which came first: The wall crack or the leak?
It's hard to tell, since water can come in through cracked basement walls but water can also CAUSE wall cracks by weakening the structure, but either way, we can fix it.
These homeowners had a long horizontal wall crack on one of their basement walls (marked in both pictures by the gray tape), along with a leak. After we installed new discharge line and a set of LawnScape outlets to take care of the leak, we used six 8 foot PowerBraces to reinforce the failing wall.
