Waterproofing a Grand Ledge Home

Eric and his wife get water in their basement 2-3 times a year during heavy rain. They want to eventually finish their basement but they need it to be dry to do that. There was a waterproofing system in place already but it was not doing it's job so they needed a different solution.

We installed the WaterGuard drain which goes below the floor to collect the water that comes into the basement and drain it to the sump pump. The TripleSafe sump pump provides three levels of protection and peace of mind even in cases of power outages or a pump malfunction. The BrightWall creates a clean looking space and also acts as a vapor barrier for the basement to protect against mold.

Waterproofing System Saves Grand Ledge, MI Home from Water Intrusion

Mark called Ayers after having dealt with pesky water leaks in his basement for a while. After having a professional eye take a look, it was determined that Ayers WaterGuard, TripleSafe Sump Pump System, and our SaniDry XP Dehumidifier would be the best solution for him.

WaterGuard is a below-floor drainage system that keeps water and dirt away from your foundation. It runs along the perimeter of your basement and concrete is poured over top to conceal the drain. You can also install regular flooring over top to get the finished look, if you desire. The TripleSafe has three sump pumps that work to keep water out of your basement. The first pump gets most of the water out on its own but the second is there for backup or in case more help is needed. The last pump is battery-operated, meaning it will turn on during power outages. Lastly, with the SaniDry XP Dehumidifier, this system will ensure the air remains clean and dry as it removes ten times the water from the air than a regular dehumidifier.

Mark was thrilled to have these water issues resolved with these waterproofing systems in place!

Beautiful Egress Window Replaces Tiny Window in Grand Ledge, MI Basement

Kelsey was on the search for a bigger window to replace the current one in her basement. She saw that Ayers sells Egress Windows so they decided to make the call. We sent out a crew for an inspection and it was agreed that she would love the Egress Window.

There are many benefits to having an Egress Window installed and the main one being they are much larger and allow for a quick and easy exit in the event of an emergency situation. They are also waterproof so they will withstand heavy rainfalls without leaks. With these windows being larger framed, they allow more natural light to fill the room which will open up the space more. These windows are especially nice for when you want to have guests over or if someone wants to make their room in the basement.

Kelsey was happy with how the Egress Windows transformed her basement into a regular living space!

WaterGuard Halts Basement Leaks in Potterville, MI

To stop further water leakage in this Potterville resident's basemnet, he called Ayers. Our team installed our specialized WaterGuard system to resolve the issue. WaterGuard is a drain system that sits below the basement floor and above the foundation footing, catching water that runs through basement walls. After catching this water, WaterGuard then filters the water into a sump pump. This system creates usable space that is free of water.

Potterville, MI Home Gets a Sump Pump to Depend on

When these homeowners purchased their Potterville, MI home they thought that the basement water issues had been solved, at least, that’s what they were told. 3 years later, the walls were still leaking and the sump pump that came with the home couldn’t keep up. What these residents needed was a system they could depend on, something like our TripleSafe sump pump. With our most trustworthy sump in the home, these homeowners could be sure that reliability wouldn’t be a problem again.  The TripleSafe system – seen in the after photo – has 2 different backup pumps inside. One of those pumps will kick in if the original has too much to deal with and the other turns on in the event of a power failure. The two different discharge lines coming out of the TripleSafe make it possible for the sump to push out water through different pumps without overflowing or back loading the system. This home now has the type of protection it was assured of 3 years before.
