PolyLevel in Potterville, MI
When the concrete slab off of their deck started to sink, these Potterville, MI residents gave us a call. We sent our crew out to the home to help this slab with PolyLevel. PolyLevel involves injecting the slab with high-density to help raise the slabs back to their original. These polymers are incredibly strong, yet lightweight. The injection sites ares small, and the cure time is quick, so the slab is raised back to normal the same day, and can be walked on only 15 minutes after installation.
Shotcrete Solution for a Stronger, Drier Basement in Potterville, MI
Lorie’s aging wood foundation near Alliance Lake was no match for Michigan’s heavy rains. Water seeped through the walls, soaking the carpet and creating the perfect environment for mold. To restore her basement, Ayers reinforced the foundation with rebar and applied shotcrete, a high-strength concrete solution that permanently seals and supports the structure. Now, Lorie has a dry, secure basement and peace of mind knowing her home is protected for years to come.
Geo-Lock Anchors Hold Back a Bowing Wall in East Lansing, MI
The long horizontal crack in this before photo is a sign that this wall was bowing inward. Bowing walls happen when pressure from expanding soil becomes too much for a foundation to handle and they start to lean inwards. To counter the pressure made by soil, the crew installed Geo-Lock Wall Anchors. Placing the anchors into stronger, undisturbed soil then attaching them to the wall plates in the after photo will put a stop to the inward bowing, and in time, may even restore the walls to their original position. This East Lansing, MI home will now be protected from a long list of possible foundation problems.
East Lansing, MI Basement with Cracked Foundation
One customer in East Lansing, Michigan had a wall that was starting to bow, as visible by the stair-step cracking at the wall. This tells us that the wall is bowing and is getting worse. So, we decided to solve this problem by installing our Wall Anchor System. These are installed by digging a tiny hole in the soil a few feet away from the wall. Then, we drill a steel rod into your wall so that the wall can be anchored into the soil. Now the wall is saved and this homeowner no longer has to worry about his entire basement wall collapsing.
Wall Anchors Keep East Lansing, MI Walls in Place
The cracks that were sealed up in the before photo were caused by extra pressure being put on the wall creating an inward bend. This forced wall movement is referred to as bowing and is very common for soils that deal with a lot of rain or snowmelt. To counteract that force, the crew installed the GeoLock Anchor system in the after photo. The wall plate seen in the after photo is one of four. The plates are tied to the anchors with steel tie backs like the one running through the center. Not only will the plates resist the bowing movement, with any luck they may also restore the walls to their original upright position.
