Nicole was sick of dealing with the puddles of water forming in her basement after heavy rains. She trusted Ayers with our waterproofing expertise, so she decided to contact us. Our experts determined from a free inspection that our WaterGuard System and TripleSafe Sump Pump System would tackle these leaks. The WaterGuard System is laid on the foundation's footing in the subfloor of the basement and along the perimeter. This drainage system collects water leaking through the walls and sends it to the sump pump. Concrete will conceal the system to ensure it blends with the space. We installed TripleSafe as the new sump pump system. This is a three-pump system that works together to keep water under control and off the floor. This sump pump includes a battery-operated pump that will turn on when the power fails. Nicole was ecstatic with this permanent solution that keeps water off her floor!

Dechelle's home needed an upgraded Egress Window to ensure her family's safety. She had a playroom downstairs for the kids and wanted to replace the small Egress she had installed previously with another company. She called Ayers for the job and the installation process began. Our Egress Window is much larger than the average basement window which allows for more natural light to enter and makes emergency exits quicker and easier. As the kids get older, the small Egress they had would no longer work for the family. Replacing this with our Egress Window was a wise move. The window is waterproof and comes with an exterior well with a step in it. Dechelle's basement is now more welcoming and safe for her family!

Peter was losing a great deal of heat through his Dyrden, Michigan, crawl space. He wanted a company that could encapsulate the crawl space. After removing all the debris, our team will work to install CleanSpace Wall System.

CleanSpace Wall System is a moisture barrier that uses a thick plastic liner along crawl space walls to keep them dry and last decades longer. It also has antibacterial properties that prevent mold and bacteria growth. Damp air takes more energy to heat and cool. Cutting down on the moisture in the crawl space, in turn, will cut down on how much it costs to heat or cool the home. 

Peter could not have been happier with the installation. He is no longer losing heat because of the crawl space and has been saving a lot of money on his heating bills. 

The customer had water coming into her 1890s home from the northwest corner, with up to half an inch of standing water at times. Concerned about the old stone foundation, she requested a full inspection. Utilizing our full perimeter waterproofing system and our Triplesafe Sump Pump, this basement can now be dry and no longer be concerned about water intrusion.

This wasn’t the first time that these Spruce, MI customers had looked for a crawl space solution. The cinder blocks support system in the before photo are a testament to that. They were installed after the last time the crawl space shifted. The crawl space had shifted quite a few time over the years because the home was located above a natural spring, so the homeowners doubted that the cinder blocks would be their last repair to the crawl space. However, the SmartJack system and steel support beams in the after photo could be.

While the SmartJack system will essentially provide the same support as the cinderblocks, they have the unique advantage of being installed into the ground. The SmartJacks are installed into excavated portions of the ground and then backfilled with a cement and gravel mixture to keep them in place. With any luck, this crawl space won't have to worry about any more shifts or tilts for a long time.
