Fully Waterproofed Muskegon, MI Basement Ready for Future Rainy Season

When Vicki and Daniel contacted us it was a chore to keep their Muskegon basement dry even whilst using two (ineffective) sump pumps. The home’s basement floor had several cracks in the aftermath of a nearby chemical explosion which allowed water to seep in through several entry points.

By the time our team arrived at Vicki’s house, the family had about 5 gallons of water seeping into their home daily. Our first priority was to stop the water from entering the basement.

We install our powerful TripleSafe sump pump. True to its reassuring name, this sump pump is literally three pumps in one casing and perfect for homes with ongoing water issues in the basement. We then dug underground to install our below-floor drain system which channels water collected from leaks through the walls and in this case, those cracks in the floor, to the TripleSafe sump pump.

Specially designed piping was then installed along the perimeter of the basement on top of the footing of the foundation. Since the piping sits on top, and not along the footing like other drainage systems, WaterGuard can’t get clogged with mud, ensuring that all water can effectively be collected and rerouted to the sump pump.

Investing in this comprehensive drainage system will not only give Vicki and Daniel peace of mind, it will make any prospective buyer very happy should they wish to sell their home in the future.

CleanSpace Waterproofs Muskegon, MI Home

Walter wanted to encapsulate and waterproof the entry to his crawl space, so he contacted Ayers. The team at Ayers conducted a home inspection and determined CleanSpace would be a perfect solution! CleanSpace utilizes a heavy-duty plastic liner, creating a moisture barrier to keep water out! Walter was thrilled with not only the look of the entrance but, more importantly, that it was waterproofed!

TripleSafe Sump Pump a Worthy Match for Wet Muskegon, MI Basement

Vicky A had water seeping into her Muskegon basement and constantly trickling across the floor. Water had also started to accumulate in the corner of her pump room. The basement floor had several cracks which allowed about 5 gallons of water to enter the space a day. We fitted a complete Waterguard perimeter drainage system in Vicky's basement. Several feed lines were installed in the cracks to capture and redirect incoming water to the newly installed TripleSafe sump pump. Vicky also opted to have our CleanSpace plastic liner installed to capture water vapor seeping through her foundation walls and send it to the sump pump.

Walter had his crawlspace encapsulated a few years ago by another company and it did not hold up as promised. Rain water was starting to seep into the crawlspace again, so he called Ayers for a CleanSpace installation. CleanSpace Wall System is a moisture barrier that uses a thick plastic liner along crawlspace walls to keep them dry and last decades longer. It also has antibacterial properties that prevent mold and bacteria growth. Damp air also takes more energy to heat and cool. Cutting down on the moisture in the crawlspace will in turn cut down on energy costs. Walter was grateful that his crawlspace actually will last decades like its supposed to.

Crawl Space Moisture & Mold Sealed Out for Good in Muskegon, MI

Myra's Muskegon home faced serious crawl space moisture issues, leading to mold concerns and visible signs of trouble on the floors in her family room, which sat directly above the crawl space. The dirt floor and lack of insulation let humidity and groundwater seep in. Wanting peace of mind and a healthy home, Myra called Ayers to encapsulate the crawl space and divert water away for good. Our team installed a durable vapor barrier (CleanSpace®) to seal the dirt floor and insulated the rim joists to block out unwanted air and moisture. Now, with her crawl space clean, dry, and protected, Myra can relax knowing her home is safe from mold and moisture—today and for years to come.
