This crawl space in Omena, MI was far from picture-picture perfect. It was full of debris and moisture, which was causing a foul odor. Our team of experts visited the home and immediately got to work sealing off the space. CleanSpace was installed to keep moisture out. This liner is significantly thicker than most crawl space liners, and this durability allow for the crawl space to be used for storage. Not only does CleanSpace keep the crawl space dry, but the liner is manufactured with an antimicrobial additive to prevent mold from growing which is often the source of the bad crawl space smell. Robert recently purchased this small cottage with an even smaller crawl space. While it was dry and didn’t show signs of leaks, Robert knew that this was a reality in most crawl spaces. Joe wanted his Northport rental property crawl space to be encapsulated. This would keep out water, pests, and some of the cold weather. The foundation walls of this family home had been leaking water into the crawl space. Once the family decided they were going to convert the place to a year-round home, they gave us a call to get an encapsulation and insulation installed in the crawl space. The after photo shows the CleanSpace vapor barrier that would serve as the encapsulation. As you can see, the inorganic liner covers both the walls and the floor of the crawl space to keep out any possible leaks. The foam at the top of the wall is a spray insulation called Froth Pak that seals off the crawl space.
