When spring time comes, it's hard for old and outdated crawl spaces to keep up with all the precipitation that us Michiganders know and love.  With a little help from Ayers, we can transform your crawl space to save energy costs, reduce humidity, as well as control those creepy crawlies who are fans of your current crawl space.  Using a vapor barrier called CleanSpace, we separate the ground and your home which in turn reduced humidity.  On the walls, we installed SilverGlo panels which help to insulate the space.  To top it all off, we recommend a dehumidifier in the crawl space to truly elimate any chances of mold, or dust mites that are caused by humidity.  In this case, we used a SaniDry Sedona to finish the job.  With all of these additions, our customer can start seeing noticeable savings in energy costs.

Dan W's crawl space had water seepage during heavy rains. Water entered the space through the walls, floor and foundation causing ongoing issues for the family. Customer is looking to sell home and wanted to have the crawl space encapsulated correctly for new owners. We installed CleanSpace crawl space waterproof liner complete with the a perimeter drainage system that captures the water from the walls and floor and funnels it to the newly installed SuperSump pump.

A Mason, MI homeowner struggled with water intrusion in their 1950s home, causing mold growth and discoloration of wood floors and floorboards in the basement. Meanwhile, their unfinished dirt-floor crawl space left the upper floors feeling cold. Ayers provided a full solution: WaterGuard to address water seepage in the basement, a TripleSafe sump pump for dependable drainage, and CleanSpace with Rim Joist Insulation to seal and insulate the crawl space. The result? A dry, mold-free basement and a warmer, more comfortable home.

Frank has crawl space in his home that was exposed to the elements by an uncovered vent. The vent allowed moisture and other debris in his crawlspace, which led to mold and other problems.  There was also a tarp on the floor of the space being used a vapor barrier, retailers often falsely advertise basic tarps as vapor barriers when in reality they do nothing.

Our team fixed Frank's problems with multiple CleanSpace solutions. First we used a dehumdifier to get rid of all the moisture. Then we installed CleanSpace vent covers to prevent anything else from coming into the crawl space, CleanSpace drainage matting to help flow any moisture to the Smart Drain that was also installed.

Eric’s dirt floor crawl space was cluttered with debris and contributed to moisture and humidity in the home. This is typical with dirt floor crawl spaces because they are left open to all the outside elements. All the humidity let in from the dirt floor can cause foundation issues which Eric was also experiencing. To clean up his crawl space and solve his foundation issues, our team came out and installed CleanSpace and SmartJacks. 

CleanSpace is an uninterrupted vapor barrier designed to keep out any unwanted pests, moisture, and mold. This barrier restricts airflow and therefore makes controlling the temperature of the home much easier. CleanSpace is applied to the floors and walls and wrapped around pillars and piers carefully to ensure that the space looks clean and refreshed.

SmartJacks support sagging floor joists and beams.  Floors above basements and crawl spaces are vulnerable due to the damp nature of the lowest floor. The SmartJack system is a permanent fix to these issues. It uses steel columns, threaded rods, and a solid base to address any problems your basement may have. Installing this system usually takes less than a day and it provides immediate stabilization.

Now Eric's home is dry, has better air quality, and has a supportive foundation.
