Tim and Tabitha have lived in their Bancroft, Michigan, home for about seven years with their 12 kids. They were looking to convert their damp basement into something that is dry, clean, and livable. They also want to use the space for storage without their belongings getting wet. Tim's allergies have been acting up as well due to the moisture and mold in the basement. Upon inspection, our crew determined that the family would need CleanSpace and WaterGuard to stop the moisture from seeping in and help Tim's allergies.   

CleanSpace is a moisture barrier that uses a thick plastic liner along basement walls to keep them dry and last decades longer. It also has antibacterial properties that prevent mold and bacteria growth. Damp air takes more energy to heat and cool. Cutting down on the moisture in the basement, in turn, will cut down on how much it costs to heat or cool the home.

WaterGuard is a subfloor waterproofing system that collects water that leaks through the walls and keeps dirt away from the foundation. It is installed along the perimeter of the basement and on top of the footing of the foundation. Concrete is poured on top and regular flooring can be placed on top.

Additionally, we installed SilverGlo wall paneling to increase the homes level of insulation. These shinny panels allow maximum conductivity of heat. Finally, our friends elected to tackle the relative humidity in there crawl space with the SaniDry XP. The SaniDry will promote dry breathable air throughout the couple’s home. Since their crawl space renovation, Lindy and Chris have turned their heat down and now feel warmer than ever.
