Leaky Basement Gets a Solution in Waldorf, MN

A Waldorf, MN, homeowner had been experiencing something odd with his basement in recent weeks. After purchasing a new home, the homeowner noticed that the basement of the home was unusually humid. Curious about the potential cause, the homeowner began his own research. After learning that a humid basement can be a sign of a leak or moisture issue, the homeowner began the search for a solution. After doing more research, he found American Waterworks. He was impressed with our product lineup and decided to sign up for his FREE estimate.

Several weeks later our Design Specialist, Dylan, was out at the home. Dylan performed his thorough inspection and then met back up with the homeowner to discuss solutions. Dylan informed the homeowner that his suspicions were correct; the basement had a water intrusion issue. He recommended our SuperSump sump pump system. Dylan explained that the SuperSump is an economical, yet effective solution to removing water from basements. It's engineered to help keep the basement dry and healthy for extended periods of time, even in times of heavy intrusion. The homeowner was pleased with Dylan's recommendation, and the two began working on an installation date.

Once the project was complete, the homeowner was thrilled to know that his new investment was properly defended against water intrusion!

Snow Melt in Basement Waterproofed in Waldorf, MN

A snowstorm happened in Waldorf, MN, causing inches of snow to pile around the home. With warmer weather ahead, the homeowner knew all the snow would melt and enter their basement. After browsing our website and becoming impressed by our reviews, the homeowner contacted our Appointment Center to schedule their FREE estimate.

In less than a week, our Design Specialist, Dylan W., arrived at the home to conduct a thorough inspection of the basement. During the inspection, Dylan took note of the areas where water leaks were present. After reporting his findings to the homeowner, Dylan began working on a detailed solution to waterproof the basement. He recommended installing SuperSump+, our reliable sump pump system capable of removing 2,200 gallons of water per hour, and IceGuard, our anti-freeze discharge line that allows water to escape in freezing temperatures to prevent sump pump burnout. After looking over the proposal, the homeowner decided to move forward with the project.

In about a month, our Foreman, Diego B., arrived at the home to install the waterproofing system. Once this was completed, the crew cleaned up their equipment and left the home.

Basement Stabilized and Waterproofed in Conger, MN

John of Conger, MN had water leaking through his bowing foundation walls and needed repair done right away. After seeing American Waterworks on channel 3 KIMT TV News, he called our office to schedule a FREE Estimate. Our Design Specialist went to his home to inspect the problems and come up with a solution. John felt comfortable with the proposal so he went ahead with the project and scheduled an installation date.

Our Foreman, Hugo Sanchez, and his production team began the project by breaking out the concrete perimeter of the basement floor, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard, which is an underground drain that collects water seepage from basement walls. Next, our team installed our SuperSump Sump Pump which is designed to keep basements dry for long periods of time. Next, our crew applied our CleanSpace Wall System around the basement walls which is a plastic vapor barrier that prevents mold and humidity build-up and serves as an extra protectant. Lastly, Hugo and our team installed our GeoLock Wall Anchors to stabilize and straighten the walls back into their normal positions. To complete the project, our team filled the open gaps with rock and replaced the concrete. John's peace of mind was restored and he felt much more safe and comfortable living in his own home!

Waterproofing System Installed in Madison Lake, MN

Pell J. in Madison Lake, MN had water leaking into his basement. He was concerned about the air quality in their home and the damage that the water was causing. He saw an advertisement in his local newspaper for American Waterworks, so he decided to call us for a free estimate. One of our Design Specialists went to his home to inspect his basement and design a solution. We recommended that he have our full waterproofing system installed in his basement to ensure that his basement would be permanently waterproofed. Pell liked the proposal that we presented to him, so he scheduled the installation.

Our production team started the installation by removing the concrete around the perimeter of the basement. Then, they laid the WaterGuard drainage system and installed the sump pump. The drainage system now properly guides water to the sump pump, and from there the water is pushed through the discharge line and expelled from the home. The installation took our crew one full day, and Pell will now be able to enjoy a dry basement for many years to come. He is glad he chose to invest in the protection of his home.
