Michel's inspection began down in the crawl space, where he ran several tests to figure out whether or not the space was energy efficient. When he concluded, he met with the homeowner to deliver his recommendations. Michel took his time to create a plan for the homeowner. His plan began with recommending our CleanSpace vapor barrier. This 100% waterproof tarp-like material gets installed directly on the unfinished walls of the crawl space. Of its functions, the most notable is that it effectively seals off your crawl space, making it inhospitable for pests, deterring any excess water that enters the space, and making the living space more comfortable by cutting heating and cooling costs. Michel went on to say that he had found signs of water intrusion, so along with the CleanSpace, he was recommending our drainage matting. This dimpled matting is laid down on the crawl space floor underneath the CleanSpace, to give water entering the space a channel to flow freely to a disposal site.
