Crawl Space Winterized in Mason City, IA

A homeowner in Mason City, IA, wanted to get a head start on winterizing their crawl space. Unsure of who to work with, the homeowner began looking into crawl space encapsulation companies closest to their home. The homeowner went to Google and looked into "crawl space encapsulation near Mason City, IA". Near the top of the list was us, American Waterworks, so the homeowner decided to take a closer look at the services we offer. The homeowner saw our impressive crawl space before and after photo albums and knew we were the best choice for them. The homeowner called our Appointment Center and signed up for their FREE estimate. After the estimate was set, we sent one of our Design Specialists, Romeo, to inspect the crawl space. Romeo noticed that the crawl space had some mold and mildew growth throughout the crawl space. To ensure their crawl space stays healthy, Romeo recommended full encapsulation. The homeowner agreed with Romeos' proposal and he passed it along to our office to build the project. Once the project was built, the plans were assigned to our Foreman, Diego, and his crew. Once they received the plans, Diego and his crew traveled to Mason City and started production. Diego and his crew started by making sure the crawl space was cleared. Once it was cleared, the crew laid Drainage Matting on the crawl space floor. Once the Drainage Matting was secured, the crew shifted to installing CleanSpace on the crawl space floors and walls. Since it was a smaller encapsulation, the crew was able to complete the project swiftly. The homeowner was in awe of the excellent transformation by the crew. American Waterworks is happy to repair and secure its homeowner's suffering crawl spaces.

Basement Waterproofing and Foundation Repair in Kensett, IA

Connie K. of Kensett, IA had water leaking into her basement and her floor joists from above were sagging into her crawl space. She was nervous about the issues she was having, so she asked her peers what kind of contractor could help her with this specific problem. One of her friends worked with American Waterworks for their home repair needs, so they referred her to American Waterworks, so she set up an inspection. Our service technician, Mitchell Sobotta, went to her home, carefully examined the problems, and drew up a solution for her basement waterproofing and foundation repair needs. Connie was confident in Mitchell's proposal and presentation, so she signed the contract and scheduled an installation date.

Our Foreman, Lane, and his production team began the project by installing four of our SmartJacks, which are made to correct issues like sloping floors. Our SmartJacks can support more than 60,000 pounds and are galvanized to prevent corrosion. Next, our team installed our CleanSpace Encapsulation Vapor Barrier to cover the entire floor. This special barrier is made to prevent mold and humidity and transforms the crawl space into a usable storage space. Lastly, our team installed our Foamax Wall Panels around the entire basement wall perimeter. Our Foamax is designed to provide comfort and energy-efficiency while making the walls look clean and bright. Connie was very happy with the repairs and had a great experience from start to finish!

Sagging Cabin Floors Supported In Osage, MN

Deb and her family built an addition onto their cabin in Osage, MN. However, the older part of the cabin where the bedrooms are had sagging floors and she knew they needed additional support in to be safe. Deb decided to call American Waterworks to claim her FREE estimate. This entitled Deb to a free home inspection. Once the appointment was set, our Design Specialist, Kole, headed to the property and began a thorough home inspection to properly diagnose the space and propose a proper solution. Kole found by examining the crawlspace underneath the floors that they were improperly supported, so he proposed that Deb and her family invest in our SmartJack solution. Deb agreed and set an appointment to get started.

Our Foreman and his crew headed out to the property and got to work. By using 3 SmartJacks, 8 Joist Assist Brackets, and a 16ft Supplemental Beam in the crawlspace below, the team was able to stabilize the floors permanently. Our SmartJack system is made to provide support for oversized or sagging beams, restoring stability and straightness. This system is also unique in that it's made with strong, corrosion-resistant, galvanized steel, so rusting isn't a worry. This means the SmartJack system can be tightened for years to come.

Deb and her family were so happy with the work and felt a sense of peace about the safety and durability of their cabin home!
