Concrete Stairs Get Lifted and Leveled in Minneapolis, MN
A customer from Minneapolis got in contact with us when he began to notice that his front steps were beginning to sink. He knew that if he left it alone, the issue would continue to worsen, creating a tripping hazard and becoming more costly to fix down the road. When he called in, he claimed his FREE estimate and our Design Specialist headed out to the property. Once there, he completed a thorough inspection into the issue and then made his recommendations as to how we could help. He recommended the use of our PolyLevel injected, followed by sealing the cracks and joints with our NexusPro solution. He explained that the PolyLevel is an expanding polyurethane foam that has a quick curing time and is much less invasive than alternative methods. He went on to say that the NexusPro works to seal all cracks and joints to prevent any further water from getting under the slab. The customer agreed and work began shortly after.
Our PolyLevel production team, led by Dylon, began the process by strategically drilling holes into the problem slab. Next, they inserted the PolyLevel and closely monitored the lifting process to ensure the slab returned to its previous state. Once done, the customer was happy to know her tripping hazard had been eliminated!

Sunken Concrete Gets Lifted in Minneapolis, MN
A Minneapolis, MN, homeowner had noticed that the concrete walkway leading to her front stoop had been sinking over the year. It was beginning to pull away from the stoop and had created a large trip hazard. The homeowner didn't want anyone to take an unnecessary tumble, so she began to look for concrete repair in Minnesota. When she found American Waterworks, she was impressed with our concrete before and after pictures and decided to sign up for her FREE estimate. Several weeks later, Adam V, one of our Design Specialists, headed out to the home to see what could be done.
After Adam finished his inspection, he met with the homeowner to inform her that we could address the situation using our PolyLevel injection. Adam informed her that PolyLevel is a dense polyurethane foam that expands when it is injected beneath sinking concrete. As it expands, it slowly fills voids left by soil erosion and, in the process, lifts the concrete back to its desired location. Adam went on to say that once the lift had been completed, he would want to see the cracks and joints of the concrete sealed with our NexusPro. This silicone-based sealant works to prevent moisture from getting below the slab, potentially compromising the lift. The homeowner agreed with the proposed work and scheduled the job for several weeks later.
On the day of the project, our Foreman, Troy W, and his team were able to complete the lift and seal with no issues. Now, our customer can confidently walk out her front door knowing her uneven concrete has been fixed!
Settling Walkway in Minneapolis, MN Lifted
A homeowner in Minneapolis, MN, had a growing issue of concrete slabs sinking in his walkway. Knowing it would only continue to worsen, the homeowner decided to tackle the issue immediately by contacting us and scheduling his FREE estimate.
In a couple of weeks, our Design Specialist, Brad W., arrived at the home to provide a thorough inspection, answer any questions the homeowner had, and provide the best solution. Brad explained to the homeowner that soil washout is one of the most common reasons for sinking concrete slabs. When it rains or floods, water moves through the ground and washes away supporting soils, causing the slabs to settle. For this reason, Brad recommended our PolyLevel, a waterproof foam expanding formula, to lift the concrete slabs, and NexusPro, a silicone-based sealant, to seal the steps. The homeowner happily agreed to Brad's recommendation and scheduled the installation date.
In about a month, our crew arrived at the home to carry out the installation. PolyLevel is installed by first drilling small 3/8 inch holes into the slabs. Using an injection gun, PolyLevel is then injected beneath the slab, filling in the voids in the concrete. Once the slab has been lifted to the desired level, the crew seals the holes with cement. Lastly, they sealed the joints of the steps with NexusPro.
