Sunken Concrete Stairs Restored in Austin, MN
A homeowner from Austin, MN, had been dealing with a sinking front step for a few years, but had recently learned that uneven concrete can drag down the resale value of the home. Figuring they should get in front of the problem, the homeowner decided to find a concrete raising specialist in Minnesota. When he found our website, he was impressed with our work and positive reviews, so he claimed his FREE estimate. Several weeks later, our Design Specialist, Nathan C, headed out to the home. When Nathan arrived, he got right to work measuring the concrete to see how badly it had sunk. When he finished, he met with the homeowner. He informed him that concrete can sink for a variety of reasons, and that we could fix it using our PolyLevel lifting and leveling solution to restore the stairs. Nathan explained that PolyLevel is a polyurethane foam that expands when it's injected beneath concrete slabs, slowly lifting the slabs back to their original state. Nathan went on to say that once the concrete had been leveled, he would recommend the application of our NexusPro, a silicone-based sealant for joints and cracks specially formulated to provide long-lasting flexibility and to stand up to harsh weather conditions. Unlike traditional polyurethane sealants, NexusPro resists UV rays, which means it won't crack, bubble or dry out. That means a single application can seal the joints and cracks in your concrete driveway, patio, or sidewalk for years to come, protecting it from damage caused by soil compaction and washout. The homeowner was thrilled with Nathan's plan and decided to move forward with the job.
Several weeks later, our Foreman, Sam K, and his team were headed out to the home to restore the concrete. Once the job was done, the homeowner was thrilled with the new and improved look of his concrete!
