Sinking Walkway Gets Lifted in Champlin, MN

A Champlin, MN, homeowner was beginning the process of putting his home on the market. Part of that process was getting things fixed up around the home to make sure they had a high resale value. One of the major projects that needed fixing was their front concrete walkway. It had been slowly sinking over the years and was not only creating an eye sore, but a dangerous trip hazard. He took to the internet to search for concrete repair MN. When he found our website, he was impressed with our before and after concrete repair photos so he decided to schedule on of our FREE estimate appointments. Weeks later, Gary S, one of our Design Specialists, headed to the home.

Once Gary completed his thorough inspection, he met with the homeowner to give his recommendations. Gary informed him that we could address the sinking concrete with the help of our PolyLevel. Gary explained that PolyLevel is a polyurethane foam that expands when it's injected beneath sinking concrete slabs. It fills voids left by soil erosion, and in the process, slowly lifts the slabs back into place. Gary went on to say that once the concrete had been lifted, he was recommending the use of our NexusPro. A silicone-based sealant, this product gets applied directly to the cracks and joints in the concrete and works to protect the vulnerable soil below, as it was designed to stand up against harsh weather conditions. The homeowner liked the sound of Gary's plan and scheduled the job for several weeks later.

On the day of the installation, our Foreman, Pat B, and his team effortlessly completed the lift, level, and seal. Now, our customer can put his home on the market knowing his concrete is in tip-top shape!

In less than a week, our Design Specialist, Kyle P., arrived at the home to provide a thorough inspection of the problem areas. During the inspection, Kyle explained to the homeowner that soil washout is one of the most common causes of sinking concrete. Soil washout is the process in which water moves through the ground and washes away the supporting soils, keeping the slabs upright. Over time, this causes voids in the soil, and the slab would begin to sink. To effectively fix this issue, Kyle recommended PolyLevel, our waterproof foam expanding formula that will accurately lift sinking slabs, and NexusPro, our silicone-based sealant specifically engineered to repair cracks and seal joints. After reviewing Kyle's proposal, the homeowner happily agreed to his recommendations and scheduled the installation date.
