Sinking Stoop Gets Lifted in Waukon, IA

A homeowner in Waukon, IA, got in touch with us when she had enough of a piece of sinking concrete just before her front stoop. Not wanting to have to worry about it any longer, the homeowner decided to call American Waterworks to advantage of our FREE estimate. A few weeks later, our Design Specialist, Michel R, headed out to the home.

After Michel finished his walkthrough, he informed the homeowner that we could fix the sinking piece of concrete by using our PolyLevel lifting solution. PolyLevel, a polyurethane foam, expands when it's injected beneath concrete slabs, filling voids left by soil erosion and slowly lifting the slab back into place. Michel finished by saying that all of our concrete installs are finished by installing our NexusPro. A silicone-based sealant, NexusPro gets applied to cracks and joints in the concrete, after a lift, to protect the soil below, in hopes of preventing further sinking. The homeowner agreed and work began a few weeks later.

On the day of the installation, our Foreman, Ryan T, and his team made quick work of the lift. When the job was complete, our customer was thrilled to know she no longer had to worry about trip hazards!

Uneven Concrete Lifted in Waukon, IA

A homeowner in Waukon, IA, noticed that his walkway had become a trip hazard and was concerned for his family. The homeowner had previously gotten their basement waterproofed by us, and he remembered that we also did concrete work. The homeowner then contacted us and scheduled his FREE estimate.

In less than a week, our Design Specialist, Nate C., arrived at the home for the inspection. He looked over the homeowner's areas of concern, answered questions, and provided a solution. In the proposal, Nate recommended PolyLevel. Nate explained to the homeowner that our PolyLevel is our elite solution for sunken concrete slabs. It is made of an expanding foam solution that fills the voids in the soil, causing the concrete slab to lift. After looking over Nate's proposal, the homeowner happily agreed to the project.

In about a month, our Foreman, Jordan S., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. The crew installs PolyLevel by first drilling small 3/8" holes into the concrete slabs. PolyLevel is then injected beneath the slab using an injection gun, filling in the empty spaces in the soil. Once the slab has been lifted to the desired level, the crew seals the holes with cement. After they were done with the installation, the crew cleaned up their equipment and left the home.

Now, our customer can have peace of mind knowing his walkway is no longer a trip hazard! Are you experiencing something similar? Click HERE to schedule your FREE estimate today!

PolyLevel Lifts and Restores Concrete in Nelson, WI

Bill and Linda W. in Nelson, WI contacted American Waterworks after seeing one of our advertisements in the newspaper. Their driveway and walkway along their house had settled, creating a trip hazard. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Michel Ramirez, to meet with Bill and Linda, evaluate the situation, and propose a unique solution. After his inspection, Michel was able to recommend our PolyLevel and NexusPro products. Bill was glad to learn that our PolyLevel concrete repair solution is a durable, faster and more affordable option than traditional concrete repair. They approved of the plan and moved forward with the project.

Our Foreman, Brandon Wiskow, lifted several of the walkway and driveway sections through use of PolyLevel - a two-part, high-density polyurethane foam. Pencil-sized holes were drilled through the concrete, and foam was injected to lift the sinking slabs back to their original height. Then, he caulked and sealed the cracks with our NexusPro sealant to protect the concrete and give it a nice, finished look. Trip hazards were effectively removed, and the process avoided the unnecessary action of replacing the concrete. Bill and Linda were impressed with the installation, and thrilled that they can enjoy a level walkway for years to come!
