Future deck supported in Cotton, MN with Helical Pier foundation system

In Cotton, MN, a homeowner is preparing to build a deck designed to support bunk houses—but before construction begins, they wanted to ensure long-term stability. The original site, shown in the first photo, was just bare ground awaiting a solid start. That’s where our Helical Pier System came in. These engineered steel piers were drilled deep into the earth to reach stable soil, creating a dependable foundation for the future deck. As seen in the second photo, the piers are in place and ready to carry the load. Now, this project has a rock-solid start—built to last before the first board is even laid.

CarbonArmor® Secures Cracked Block Wall in Stone Lake, WI Cabin

This Stone Lake, WI homeowner was experiencing stairstep and horizontal cracks in their block wall foundation. Pressure from outside forces, such as soil, can cause these cracks and instability. The owner wanted to fix this problem so they turned to DBS for a solution.

Design Specialist Henry Jungbauer assisted this owner with a free no-obligation estimate to help find the perfect solution. Henry suggested a CarbonArmor® Wall Reinforcing System for this client's home.

Foreman Osia Williams led this project with the assistance of a team. CarbonArmor® wall straps are made with material that is 10x stronger than steel. This material is woven into a fabric-like material and molded to the walls to prevent further movement and instability. These straps tighten even more when tension is applied, making them more secure as time goes on.

This homeowner can now relax knowing their home is secure with DBS solutions.

SmartJack® XL Basement Support Added in Bruce, WI

A home in Bruce, WI was experiencing issues with the support beams in their basement. The original wood beams were starting to fail, causing sagging floors which could lead to further structural damage. In need of a solution, the homeowner had a DBS Design Specialist come out and provide a free, no-obligation estimate for the service. It was determined that the basement would need to have the original beams replaced by SmartJack® XL units. These galvanized steel jacks are made to support very heavy loads and structures, making them optimal for foundation support.

Foundation Support for Shifting Britt, MN Cabin

Longtime cabin owners on Lake Leander outside of Britt, MN were concerned over worsening conditions with the cabin's block foundation. Individual blocks were shifting measurably, leaving cracks and gaps that left the crawl space prone to wetness and mold. Looking for a permanent solution, they reached out to DBS for more information about our foundation support systems.

DBS Design Specialist Henrik Makitalo visited the home and provided a free, no-obligation estimate for the foundation support work. He determined that the crawl space would have SmartJack® support beams installed to lift and support the sagging crawl space ceiling, as well as helical piers to properly support the weight of the structure.

DBS Foreman Zach Royer and his crew installed 9 helical piers to support 44 feet of additional support beams.

To complete the work in the crawl space, Foreman Nick Burley and his production crew installed 13 SmartJack® supports to replace the rotting wooden beams. Finaly, they completed an encapsulation using a vapor barrier to to keep moisture at bay and protect the home's structural elements going forward.
