In Turtle Lake, WI, a valued member of the military faced the daunting concern that his garage might cave in. A home in Wright, MN was experiencing foundation wall failure in the basement. It had severe cracking and began to bow. Needing a solution, the homeowner reached out to DBS regarding the problem. A crew was able to go out and install six PowerBraces™ to help stabilize the shifting foundation. The basement will now be a more safe and comfortable environement for the home.

Design Specialist Rich Johnsen went to the property to conduct a free no-obligation estimate for the homeowners. After a thorough inspection, Rich generated a quote for our PowerBrace® Wall Bracing System.

A DBS Foreman led the installation of this project with assistance from a crew. Together they installed 5 PowerBrace® i-beams along the basement walls in order to permanently stabilize them. Each i-beam is fixed to the rim joists of the home and bolted to the concrete slab floor. This ensures that the i-beams will stay fixed and provide stabilization to the walls and the brackets at the rim joists can be tightened over dry periods in an attempt to straighten the wall back to its original position.

Now that the foundation has been permanently stabilized, the homeowners can relax with peace of mind not having to worry about the structural integrity of their home.
